But I really enjoyed it. It seemed to capture that feeling of doing stupid stuff because it's better than boredom. I've been there before. Also, good actors. I am not a fan of Jena Malone, maybe because she seems like she plays the same kinds of characters. I don't know, I've only seen her in The United States of Leland, Donnie Darko and Into The Wild and now this. Ehhhhh yeah. Emile Hirsch was pretty awesome. Suitably creepy-but-adorable. My friend has a huge crush on him.

Milk
I thought it was awesome. The performances were all around awesome. Some parts were a little uncomfortable as I was watching it with my mom, but I really enjoyed it. It's definitely something to see in the theater. We had bad seats, but it was still really nice because the theater was fully booked, and everyone was just so into it. The news footage blended in with the film was a nice touch.

Stand By Me
So I've actually seen this movie before, but I was like seven and don't remember it. I watched it, and really liked it. Very relatable - I felt nostalgic, and I'm a fourteen year old girl who has never done anything remotely resembling that. I can see why this is a classic. Cheesy, sure, but good to watch with friends.

The Prestige
Had to watch this in two parts, which I think was a little better, if just because I understood it I guess. The twist I saw coming, but it was pretty good. Also awesome performances. I kept on thinking of Batman vs Wolverine - but I really liked it. Magic is always good. I wish it was still like that.

Tropic Thunder
Haha, okay, so I loved it. Saw it with a friend and his dad which was a little awkward, but it was funny and that's all I was hoping for. Also, it was good-funny - better than Blades of Glory-funny (which I'll admit... I liked) but not like, Arrested Development funny. I liked Robert Downey Jr. and Jack Black.

The Life Aquatic
Haha, so I'll admit, the only reason I got this was becauseI recognized it from looking through Matthew Gray Gubler (who plays my favorite character on Criminal Minds)'s imdb page and remembered the name and it was at the library and hey - movie time. It was good - a little quiet, which was nice. I liked the film-within-a-film bits best. Kind of boring, but okay.

Woohoo!

Just to announce that I'll now have an on again off again movie blog, where I blog about - you guessed it! - movies!

Please note that I'm relatively young and don't have a lot of cash, so unless anyone wants to send me some money I'll probably be reviewing movies as I see them aka probably many years after they come out. Well, that, and a mix of what I get to see in the theater. There's this really neat $3 one near my house...

Anyways!
